History

Pleasant Hill was founded as a railroad flag stop town that grew from farmland to a staple housing community during World War II.

With its first post office established in 1948, residents didn’t vote to incorporate the city until 1961.

In 1967 our first movie theater opened their doors as a focal point for community identity.
