Honoring the Brave
Strength and Hope:
Purpose-Built is proud to launch our “Built to Beat Cancer” campaign in partnership with the HunterSeven Foundation — a nonprofit dedicated to researching and supporting veterans & trades impacted by toxic exposures and service-related cancers.
As the Home of the Trades®, our fundraising goal has always been to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with those who build, protect, and power America. HunterSeven’s work aligns directly with our ethos of grit, sacrifice, and resilience, making this partnership a natural extension of our values and our campaign.

CALEB WAT
Caleb come from a small town, raised by a single mom who taught me that hard work wasn’t a choice — it was the only way forward. That mindset carried me into the infantry, where I learned discipline and grit, and later into my career as a lineman, where the hours were long and the sacrifices even longer.
But life tested me in ways I never expected. First it was addiction — a fight that forced me to rebuild myself from the ground up. Then came cancer. Twice. Even through treatment, I kept stringing lines, climbing poles, and providing for my family, because giving up was never an option. Beating cancer two times over has been the toughest battle of my life, but also the one that showed me just how strong faith, family, and community can be.
That’s why Purpose-Built means so much to me. This isn’t just a company — it’s a movement. Built to Beat Cancer isn’t just a slogan on a shirt, it’s proof that the trades, the community, and the people who wear this gear stand together through the hardest fights. I’ve lived it. I’ve felt what it means to have others stand with you. And I know that when we unite, no one fights alone.

BEN GRISWOLD
Ben’s story is woven into the Purpose-Built DNA. In October 2018, as we launched our first Fight Cancer campaign, Ben walked in and put down $1,500 of his own money to make it happen. He loved Purpose-Built, believed in our mission, and helped rally the trades around something bigger than ourselves. This year, we carry that same spirit forward — giving back in his honor to the foundation he stood by until his last days.
But Ben’s mission was larger than himself. His lymphoma was tied to exposures during three deployments (Iraq 2003, Afghanistan 2004, Iraq 2005). In 2020, he connected with the HunterSeven Foundation, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to researching military exposures and supporting veterans and families. Ben shared his story through HunterSeven interviews and roundtables, determined to raise awareness so others wouldn’t suffer as he did.
Today, through Purpose-Built x HunterSeven, we’re carrying on that mission — honoring Ben, supporting his family, and fighting for the countless others still in the battle.
