Purpose/Built worked with the EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce (EUMCCI) on a ground-up website redesign. EUMCCI is a non-profit private organization focusing on promoting, supporting and developing EU business interests in Malaysia as well as facilitating trade, commerce and investments between EU and Malaysia.
The firm’s old website and brand did not reflect its eminent position thus Purpose/Built was asked to develop a new site that would reflect EUMCCI’s identity and expertise.
The research work fed into the next stage of the project, creating tools that would help define how the site should operate and identifying key elements and recognizing issues within EUMCCI’s previous website that led to poor navigation flow and usability.
We started by developing user journeys and carrying out exercises to help us prioritize content types. The challenge was consolidating all the diverse web properties into a single robust identity built on an agency recommended state-of-the-art, scalable, technology platform.
Following numerous creative exercises and hours analizing and poking holes in our strategy, the result is a completely scalable, flexible website with a progressive design that is also accessible and convenient for EUMCCI to manage on the backend and is viewable across all devices.
EUMCCI was extremely pleased with their new corporate website design and received positive feedback about the practical database tools and ease of use. Within the first month of the launch, the client experienced an increase in web traffic and has continued to see usage figures improving.
