Joanne Teo is head of strategist in Purpose Built Malaysia. Offering a potent
combination of business acumen and marketing savvy, her talents and skills are frequently
sought after by leaders in the industry.

Joanne graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing & Management from Curtin
University of Technology in Perth, Australia. Over the past 18 years, she has been instrumental
in the marketing achievements of diverse companies including Palace of the Golden Horses,
Faubourg One Sdn Bhd, Sothys Malaysia, WeddingsMalaysia, WeddingLah, and AugustMan.
She is proficient in strategic marketing planning, marketing communication, social media
marketing, event management, branding & consultation, and is passionate about leveraging
marketing channels to build powerful connections between brands and their audience.

In 2016, Joanne employed her marketing maestro in managing a local concert for an
International renown electric violinist, Dennis Lau, in collaboration with several Malaysian artists
including Ning Baizura, Syfinaz Selamat, Atilia Haron, Soo Wincci, Jimmy Sax, Koujee Beatbox
and many more in the ‘DENNIS LAU & FRIENDS, THE PHOENIX RISING’ concert.

In 2017, Joanne organised the first & only Southeast Asian wedding conference and premier
wedding exhibition – All Things Wedding Conference & Exhibition – which featured 5 speakers
from different parts of Asia.
